The 19-year-old suspect identified as Sunday Sodipe disclosed that a certain herbalist who he worked for, Adedokun Yinusa Ajani (50 years), was the one sending him on such assignments, Vanguard reports.
The suspect made the confession when he was being paraded alongside other suspected criminals at the police headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan on Friday, July 17.
According to Sodipe, anytime he was going for an operation, the herbalist would tell him to kneel down in front of him and he (Ajani) would make some incantations and then put something on his tongue three times.
He said whenever he located his victims, he would hit them with a shovel and when they are dead, he would make some incantations and move around the body three times and then back it for about five minutes with his eyes closed, after which he would leave the scene.
The teenager confessed to have carried out five of such operations, adding that anytime he returned to the herbalist, the latter would have bought food for him and would give him N500.
While speaking with journalist, the herbalist denied the allegations.
