[VIDEO HIGHLIGHT] Barcelona 4 – 2 Valencia {La Liga}

Lionel Messi scored twice as Barcelona came from behind to beat 10-man Valencia 4-2 in La Liga.

Barcelona kept the pressure on Real Madrid at the top of LaLiga by beating 10-man Valencia 4-2 at Camp Nou ahead of the international break.

The Catalans were playing their first home game since the thrilling 6-1 comeback against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League but their performance evoked only a little of the magic of that night.

Valencia exposed their hosts’ defensive frailties throughout the first half and Eliaquim Mangala gave Voro Gonzalez’s side the lead after 29 minutes.

Fortunately for Barca, their superstar front three were on form and Neymar teed up Luis Suarez to equalise shortly before Mangala conceded a penalty and was sent off, Lionel Messi duly scoring from the spot.

Although Munir El Haddadi drew Valencia level almost immediately against his parent club, the 10 men struggled to contain Messi, who made it 3-2 after 52 minutes but will miss the trip to Granada in the first game back from the international break due to suspension after picking up a late yellow card.

The hosts pressed hard in search of a fourth throughout the closing stages, Neymar’s dynamic solo run down the left flank leading to Andre Gomes’ 90th-minute settler from close range, as Barca claimed a win that is vital to their title chances, moving them back to within two points of Madrid, who still hold a game in hand over the reigning champions.

Farmer Got Killed By Fulani In Oyo State Over Cattle

A Fulani herdsman at the weekend killed his landlord, Musliu Aliu at Igbeti in the Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State, leading to a heightened tension between indigenes and the herdsmen.

A woman was also stabbed in the stomach and had been hospitalised, while about 19 houses were said to have been razed in the aftermath of the incident.

Chairman of Igbeti community, Alhaji Alawode Jimoh Fasina, said the indigenes of the town had warned the deceased not to accommodate the herdsman who has many cows in the area.

He said: “Aliu [the landlord] went to his farm where he had preserved some yam seedlings for planting. But the cows ate some tubers of yam, which resorted into a quarrel between them. The herdsman accused the deceased of poisoning his cows, who he said were discharging bile.

“The deceased told us he was going to report the incident to the police. But we learnt that he went to his farm to plant the yamseedlings. It was in the process that the herdsman attacked and killed him.”

In another incident, a woman was attacked by a Fulani man, who she said was trying to rob her.

According to the woman, the herdsman tried to forcefully grabbed her purse in which she had some money, but when she resisted, he tried to cut her purse which she tied to her waist with a dagger and in the process, the dagger pierced her stomach and gouge out her intestines. She is in the hospital.

However, in his response to the allegation of murder, leader of Fulani herdsmen in the area, Alhaji Saliu Kadiri who is also the National Chairman, Jamu Nati Fulbe Association of Nigeria, alleged that the deceased farmer poisoned his crops which the cattle ate and that led to its death.

“The herdsman reported the case and the following day, the man was found dead. He was not stabbed and there were no stab wounds on him. His tubers of yam were also burnt. Only my God knows who killed him,” he said.

When contacted, Police Public Relations Officers, Oyo Command, DSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, told Guardian that the herdsman who killed the farmer was still at large.

See What Popular Nollywood Actress Ejine Says About Her Big Boobs (See Photos)

When it comes to 'watermelon', Ejine Okoroafor has it in abundance. The budding actress is busty and the load is attracting a lot of unnecessary attention.

Tall and fair-skinned, her ample bosom will make the self-acclaimed ‘queen’ of Nollywood, Cossy Ojiakor, go green with envy.

However, unlike what many think that big boobs cause back pain for its owners, Ejine says she is perfectly pleased with the way God created her. In a chat with Sunday Scoop, she said, “The Bible says that God created me beautifully and wonderfully in His own image and I don’t have reason to complain. I am in love with myself and I thank God for blessing me this much.”

When asked if she sometimes considers them a burden, she quipped, “How can it be a burden? It is not like I went under the knife to make my breasts this big; it is a natural endowment. I have had big b**bs for a long time and I’m used to them going everywhere with me. Besides, I am not the only one with big b**bs in my family as my sister is also blessed with same.”

[VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS] Middlesbrough 1 – 3 Manchester United {Premier League}

Marouane Fellaini and Jesse Lingard helped Manchester United to a 3-1 win at Middlesbrough that lifted them above Arsenal into fifth place.

Manchester United claimed their 600th Premier League victory with a 3-1 win against managerless Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on Sunday.

Marouane Fellaini’s first league goal of the season, a thundering strike from Jesse Lingard and an injury-time Antonio Valencia finish secured maximum points for Jose Mourinho’s side and lifted into fifth place in the table, piling the misery on Boro at the end of a week in which Aitor Karanka lost his job.

Mourinho – whose men are now unbeaten in 18 top-flight matches – had claimed that a draw would be a good result for his side, given their exhaustive exploits in the FA Cup and Europa League this week, and Boro certainly started in the ascendancy against a United side shorn of a number of first-team regulars.

But Fellaini’s 30th-minute header gave the visitors a stranglehold that they never looked likely to relinquish and Lingard’s emphatic strike in the second half left the home side on course for a 14th defeat in 28 league games this season.

Rudy Gestede got a goal back in the closing stages – Boro’s first in 509 minutes of league action – but Valencia pounced on a horror moment for ex-United goalkeeper Victor Valdes to ensure United move to within three points of the Champions League places, having played a game fewer than fourth-placed Liverpool, who face Manchester City later on Sunday.

The pressure is growing on second-bottom Boro, however, with five points now separating them from safety, though they do have a game in hand on Hull City and Swansea City above them.

Valdes’ outing started well as he made a fine low stop to deny Marcus Rashford six minutes into the contest after the young striker raced in behind the defence onto Lingard’s pass.

Boro – guided by stand-in boss Steve Agnew – enjoyed by far the better of the opening exchanges, though, and David de Gea produced a smart save to his left to prevent Gaston Ramirez’s fierce strike from breaking the deadlock.

Valdes proved the home side’s saviour again in the 22nd minute, sticking out a leg to deny Rashford from point-blank range after a superb United move before reacting well to keep out Valencia’s rebound.

United were beginning to cause real problems for the home defence and Fellaini took full advantage when the next chance came his way. Ashley Young curled a deep cross towards the far post from the right and the Belgium international escaped Fabio before nodding the ball high into Valdes’ net.

Boro began the second half in much the same fashion as they did the first, enjoying close to 57 per cent of the possession, but without finding a way to cause any trouble for De Gea, with United’s defence staying resolute.

Mourinho’s side continued to look a threat on the break, with Rashford and Valencia twice causing panic in the Boro box with runs down the right, and it was from another counter-attack that Lingard doubled the lead just past the hour mark.

Collecting Juan Mata’s pass, Lingard raced unchallenged through the middle of the home side’s half before blasting a shot from 20 yards that swerved beyond the static Valdes and into the top-right corner.

Agnew threw on Gestede to give Alvaro Negredo some support and the striker gave his side a lifeline when he capitalised on Chris Smalling’s error to slot past De Gea from close range.

Boro laid siege to United’s goal late on, but Valencia made the points safe in the dying seconds when Valdes slipped as he prepared to clear a backpass, allowing the United full-back the simple task of finishing into an empty net – much to the delight of Mourinho as the Portuguese made his way down the tunnel.

[VIDEO HIGHLIGHS] Athletic Bilbao 1 – 2 Real Madrid {La Liga}

Karim Benzema and Casemiro scored the goals to give Real Madrid an important 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao in Saturday’s LaLiga meeting.

Real Madrid stretched their lead at the top of LaLiga to five points thanks to a 2-1 victory away to Athletic Bilbao at San Mames.

Goals from Karim Benzema and Casemiro, either side of an Aritz Aduriz header, were enough to settle a hard-fought encounter at San Mames and put the pressure on Barcelona ahead of their meeting with Valencia on Sunday.

Athletic had won 16 and drawn three of 19 games in front of their own fans since their last home defeat, which came against Barca in August, and were bright and industrious in the early stages.

They were given a warning sign of Madrid’s threat on the counter when Cristiano Ronaldo had an early goal disallowed but the Portugal star exploited the home side’s high defensive line to better effect in the 25th minute, as he raced through before crossing for Benzema to side-foot home his 16th goal of the season.

Ernesto Valverde’s side enjoyed plenty of possession without threatening Madrid’s goal too often, but Aduriz capitalised on a rare moment of slack defending to head his team level midway through the second half.

But Casemiro proved Madrid’s unlikely hero just three minutes later, tapping in from close range after being left unmarked at a corner to secure Madrid’s 13th win in 15 league meetings with the Basque side.

The result ensures that Zinedine Zidane’s team will be top of the table heading into the international break and leaves Barca needing a good result at Mestalla to keep the pressure on in the title race.

[VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS] West Ham United 2 – 3 Leicester City {Premier League}

Leicester City withstood significant late pressure to beat West Ham 3-2 and continue Craig Shakespeare’s perfect start as manager.

The post-Claudio Ranieri feel-good factor at Leicester City showed no sign of letting up as they beat West Ham 3-2 in a thriller at London Stadium to continue Craig Shakespeare’s 100 per cent start as the Premier League champions’ manager.

Tuesday’s intense 2-0 win over Sevilla that secured passage to the Champions League quarter-finals did appear to impact their laboured second-half performance, but a sprightly start and dogged defending towards the end were ultimately crucial as Leicester clinched their first away league win of the season.

They picked up right where they left off on Tuesday with a remarkable start to go two goals up within seven minutes – Riyad Mahrez and Robert Huth stunning the hosts.

West Ham soon got themselves a lifeline through a fine Manuel Lanzini free-kick, though Leicester re-established a two-goal lead late in the first half through Jamie Vardy

"It's Over For Magu, Buhari Can Not Send His Name To Senate Again" - Dino Malaye

Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye has said that following the Senate rejection of the nomination of Mr. Ibrahim Magu as chairman of the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on two different occasions, President Muhammadu Buhari cannot validly re-nominate the same candidate again.

Melaye while commenting on the debate in the media about whether Magu can continue to act as EFCC boss in spite of his failure to be confirmed by the Senate or if the President can renominate him, Melaye said there is a provision of the Senate rules which would not allow members consider Magu for the same position again.

Citing Order 131 of the Senate Rules, Melaye said after the rejection of Magu's nomination, his candidacy is considered lapse and therefore advised the President to consider a fresh nominee who is qualified, in terms of experience, integrity, knowledge and temperament to lead the anti-graft agency.

Order 131 of the Senate Rules states that "nominations neither confirmed nor rejected during the session or within 21 working days in the case of Ministerial nominees shall be returned by the clerk to the National Assembly to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and shall not again be made to the Senate by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria".

The Senator who insisted that Magu did not impress anybody including those Senators who would have been sympathetic to his cause during the confirmation hearing in the Senate urged President Buhari to look for a replacement and avoid actions that may result in violation of the laws of the land.

"Those suggesting to the President that after failing to scale the confirmation process twice, the President should leave Magu to be acting are only recommending violation of the law, disrespect for due process and perpetration of illegality. All these will only undermine democracy and constitutionalism in our country.

"Those drafters of the law who made the provision that the Senate should confirm the nomination of the EFCC chairman did not make any mistake and nobody should observe the law in the breach by getting a person into that office who has not been confirmed".
