"I'm Far Better Than I Was at Chelsea" - Liverpool Winger, Mohammed Salah Says

New Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah has said he believes his second spell in the Premier League will be better than the first as a result of the experience he gained playing for Roma.

Liverpool confirmed the signing of Salah on Thursday in a deal that could be worth €50 million, according to the Serie A side.

The winger had been close to joining Liverpool from Basel in January 2014, but instead opted to move to Chelsea.

But he had an unsuccessful spell at Stamford Bridge, making just 19 appearances in two seasons before moving to Fiorentina on loan in 2015 and signing permanently for Roma last summer after a loan spell.

Asked whether he returns to the Premier League as a better player, he told the official Liverpool website: "100 percent, yes.

"Everything [has improved]. Even my personality was different, I was a kid -- I was 20 or 21. Now I'm four years older. I have lots of experience in three clubs: I was at Chelsea, then Fiorentina and then Roma.

"I like to play here in the Premier League. I'm happy to be back and I'm excited."

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said he believed the acquisition of Salah improves his side's already strong options in the final third of the pitch.

"Mohamed has the perfect mix of experience and potential -- this is a really exciting signing for us," he said.

"His pace is incredible, he gives us more attacking threat and we are already strong in this area. I like that he will make it even more competitive.

"Most important though, for us, is that he is hungry, willing and eager to be even better and improve further.

"He believes in what we are trying to do here at Liverpool and is extremely keen to be part of it."

Salah will wear the No. 11 shirt after Roberto Firmino agreed to switch to the No. 9 squad number, and he said: "I appreciate what Firmino did -- I have to thank him very much.

"I like the number 11. it was my number in Rome and also the national team before."

ENGLISH LETTER WRITING ANSWER
3)write a story that best illustrates the saying: A leopard cannot change its spots.

Answer
The leopard is identified and has exclusivity only because of its spots. Similarly we cannot change the basic characteristic that one is endowed with. It may seem to disappear from time to time but will soon resurface. This can be explained with the following story from the Panchatantra.
Once there was a jackal that went to a village in search of food and accidentally fell into a tub containing blue colour dye. The jackal looked pretty strange since it was blue in colour and all the animals in the forest ran away in fright. The animals in the forest called for a meeting to discuss about strange looking animal – not realizing that it was only the Jackal.
They unanimously decided to keep away from the blue creature.
The cunning jackal decided to take advantage of the situation and declared that he was sent to earth by God to rule over as the King of the forest and asked all the animals to obey him. The frightened animals agreed immediately. The jackal was scared that his fellow jackals might find out his true identity and banished all of them from the kingdom.
The poor jackals had nowhere to go and were very upset. They guessed that the strange blue creature was indeed a jackal and wanted to teach him a lesson for treating his fellow beings so badly.
They came up with a plan. The oldest and wisest of them said. “Let us all howl collectively. If he is a jackal then he cannot resist his innate nature and he too will start howling.” All these jackals waited for an opportunity to reveal the natural characters of the Blue Jackal to other animals in the forest. As waited for, the opportunity came for their help.
So one day when the Blue Jackal was presiding over his court, all the banished jackals started howling together. The Blue jackal forgot for a moment that IT was THE King and responded immediately. When the other animals realized that they had been cheated by the cunning jackal they pounced on him and chased him away.
However the jackal tried to cheat other animals in the forest, the fact it was nothing but only a jackal came to light for the simple reason that the jackal could not conceal its natural tendency.
The leopard can not change his spots.

i)Trade Unions working for the Progress of the Employees: The trade unions try to improve the economic conditions of the workers by representing their cases to the employers and try to get adequate bonus to the workers.
ii)Safeguarding the Interests of the Workers: Most of the industries try to exploit the workers to the maximum. They do not provide any benefits such as increasing their wages, granting sick leaves, giving compensation in case of accidents, etc.
iii) Increasing Co-operation and Well-being among Workers: It is in this context that the trade unions come into the picture and they promote friendliness and unity among the workers. Besides this, the trade unions also discuss the problems, which are common to all the workers.
Iv )Establishing Contacts between the Workers and the Employers: The trade unions play an important role in bringing to the notice of the employers the difficulties and grievances of the employees. Elasticity of supply is measured as the ratio of proportionate change in the quantity supplied to the proportionate change in price

8b)
i)Possibility of Substitution:
The change in supply in response to the change in price depends on the possibility of substitution of a product for others. If the market price of potato rises, resources will be shifted from there cultivation like tomato and employed in the cultivation of potato.
ii)Infrastructural facilities:
The expansion of supply of a commodity also depends on the availability of productive facilities and inputs. The agricultural producer can not increase in response to the rise in price unless there is sufficient flow of fertilizers, irrigation etc.
iii)Producers response:
The elasticity of supply for a product depends on the producers’ responsiveness to the change in its price. The quantity supplied of a commodity will not change if the producers do not react positively to the increase in prices.
iv)Marginal Cost:
Elasticity of supply of a commodity depends on the marginal cost of production. The elasticity of supply of a commodity would be less if the marginal cost of production goes up. In the short run, diminishing marginal returns operates as some factors are fixed.

New LASIEC Commissioners; Others Been Sworn-In By Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode (Photos)

Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode on Monday swore-in new Commissioners of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) with a charge on the new appointees to add value to the corporate governance, growth and all round development of the State.

The Governor also swore-in members of the State’s Public Procurement Agency, Audit Service Commission, Director-General of the State’s Safety Commission and also inaugurated members of the State Science and Innovation Council.

The newly sworn-in members include Professor Gabriel Olatunde Babawale and Dr. Noah Olanrewaju Lawal-Jinadu as Commissioners of LASIEC; Mr. Bolaji Miftah Are, Mrs Iyabo Elizabeth Ladipo and Mr Ayo Adebusoye for the Public Procurement Agency; Mrs Jokotola Ojosipe-Ogundimu for Audit Service Commission and Mr. Hakeem Dickson as the Director General of the Lagos State Safety Commission.

Governor Ambode, who swore-in the new members of the agencies at the Conference Room, Lagos House in Alausa, said the appointments were strictly informed by the track record of achievements, integrity and credibility of the members.

Noting that the ceremony was in compliance with the relevant laws establishing the agencies, the Governor urged the members to see their appointment as an invitation and a privilege to be part of the future prosperity of the State.

Tech: Samsung Falls Short By $79 Billion as Apple Top vendor in IT Revenue With $218 Billion In 2016

Apple was the largest vendor in 2016 with over $218 billion in IT revenue; approximately $79 billion larger than Samsung (with $139 billion) in second spot, Gartner said on Tuesday.

Google with $90.1 billion was third, Microsoft with $85.7 billion at fourth spot, and IBM with $77.8 billion was in fifth position when it came to IT revenue in 2016. “The needs of IT buyers are shifting. CEOs are focused on growth and are more focused on realising business outcomes from their IT spend,” said John-David Lovelock, Vice President and Distinguished Analyst at Gartner.

“The ‘Nexus of Forces’ has been the focus of attention for many years. However, the impact of digital business is giving rise to new categories,” he added. ‘Nexus of Forces’ refers to the convergence of social, mobility, cloud and information that drive new business scenarios. This is for the first time that Gartner published a ranking of the top 100 largest tech companies in the world based on estimates for their revenue across IT (excluding communication services) and component market segments.

“The top three vendors (Apple, Samsung Vendor Group and Google) can attribute much of their size to their solid alignment with the ‘Nexus of Forces’,” the report added. As enterprises increasingly digitalize their products and services, digital giants (Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon, Baidu, Alibaba and Tencent) can become involved in, or even take over, the digital experience.

Gartner predicted that by 2021, 20 percent of all activities an individual engages in will involve at least one of the top seven digital giants. “Digital giants effectively become gatekeepers for any business that delivers digital content and services to consumers,” Lovelock added.

The focus of the digital giants has mainly been in the consumer, citizen and employee world. Because the digital giants have not yet been as focused on business to business (B2B), there is an opportunity for other companies to take the lead.

How To Be Better and Not Bitter

If you’re reading this right now, I would gather that you either want to know how to be better and not bitter, or you want to help someone else in this case. Whatever your position, I’m glad you’re here. Because we need to have the conversation about it. And the reason being is so that healing can begin to take place. So…are you ready?

Usually, bitterness doesn’t just happen. It’s a bit of a process. It’s slow, sneaky, and it can be vicious if not checked. It often stems from some form of hurt, offense, injustice, or disagreement. And again, if these described emotions are not dealt with, then a root of bitterness will begin to grow. It’s inevitable.

But you have a choice. You can choose to be better and not bitter. I need to say that choosing to be or stay bitter is sinful.

It’s true. And it’s not God’s way. But I think you know that already, and that’s why you’re here. Because you DON’T want to be bitter or you don’t want others you know to be in this place either.

So here’s how healing takes place. I’ll start with the biblical ways first and then I’ll share some practical tips on how to overcome and defeat this life-sucking, hindering spirit. Here goes..

Biblical Perspective:

Ephesians 4:31-32, “Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of malicious behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ Jesus has forgiven you.”

Proverbs 20:22, “Don’t say, ‘I will get even for this wrong.’ Wait for the Lord to handle the matter.”

Proverbs 10:12, “Hatred stirs up quarrels, but love makes up for all offenses.”

Hebrews 12:15, “…Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.”

Romans 12:17-18, “Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.”

Romans 12:19-20, “Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For Scriptures say, ‘I will take revenge; I will pay them back, says the Lord. Instead, ‘If you enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing so, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.”

Romans 12:21, “Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.”

Let God’s word have weight in your life and get rid of bitterness, my sister. It’s really all about letting God work on your behalf, while also taking the action steps to responding well as a Christian woman.

Trust me. The devil would LOVE for you to treat those who have hurt you angrily and against what God’s word says. But don’t give him the satisfaction.

Now here’s some practical advice that I promised..

Watch out for self-deception. Because sometimes there can be an undercurrent of bitterness whereas you think you’re not bitter, but you actually are. The acid test to see if bitterness is creeping into your heart is dependent upon how you feel when the individual comes to mind or name is mentioned. What emotions arise? Is it anger and resentment or love and forgiveness?

Personally, I know the feeling of being bitter. I know the onslaught when the enemy brings it on and I know when it’s creeping into my heart. I can sense it. I can tell by how I feel. And the Holy Spirit convicts me when it’s present. But…I wasn’t always able to recognize it.

Before I started living the Christian life according to God’s word and with conviction, I allowed bitterness to run rampant in my life. Meaning, if I was upset with someone, that individual would know it to the fullest extent! Yet, it wasn’t until I learned through good teaching and the word of God that bitterness is destructive and a hindrance to my spiritual growth and productivity. And it’s sin. So guess what? I had to let it go!

And I want to teach you to do the same thing. Let it go! Don’t let it rob you of your joy, productivity, or love. Don’t let it steal your peace. Don’t allow it to cause you to be mean, angry, or slanderous and destroy good relationships. Don’t forget, our great enemy Satan comes to steal, kill, and to destroy, but Jesus came that you would have life more abundantly.

So LIVE. Live the abundant life in Christ, my sister. Don’t let the enemy rob you of your right to forgive, love people deeper, and dwell in peace as much as possible with others as the Bible states. Instead, choose to be the bigger person, let go, and MOVE ON. Because guess what? Most likely, while you’re still angry, that individual or individuals have moved on.

With that being said, instead of waking up thinking about the offense or the person who hurt you, set your thoughts on things that are pure and lovely, and on things above, not on things on the earth as Philippians 4:8 and Colossians 3:2 states. Think about how you will be wanted to answer by Jesus.

I want to say this before I close this post. If you’re bitter right now, or if you feel it creeping up inside of you, I urge you to carve it out of your heart today. Circumcise it with God’s word and get free.

Also, if you haven’t made things right with the individual who hurt you, do so. And if you have done so already, remember…let it go and move on.

It’s time to be free. Make the choice to be better, not bitter today. Do it for you and for others.

Remember, Jesus is coming back soon. And those who endure unto the end, shall be saved. Let’s be ready from the Inside Out.

Check Out These 5 Habits You Can Find In Charismatic People

Being likable is not rocket science, but a number of people a firm in their belief that they don’t care about being liked. However, when push comes to shove knowing your way around relating with people and being able to win them over is an important skill that you will find very essential in moving up the ladder of success.

Here are 5 habits of charismatic people...

1). They Listen More Than They Speak
When charismatic people relate with others, they make them feel heard. Many people like to talk with and relate with them because of how actively they seem to listen and give useful feedback; and the fact is that people tend to like and remember good listeners positively.

2). They’re Genuine People
Or at least they are very good at seeming genuine and this is what draws people to them. People typically like those they perceive to be genuine and humble, and charismatic people have that going for them. They are perceived to be genuine and most of them actually are. A charismatic person’s genuineness coupled with a kind personality will gagner instant like from others.

3). They Stand Up Tall
Charismatic people have a certain ‘swag’. They stand up tall and have an appealing mien. Their gait and mannerisms are smart, and there something inherently attractive about their carriage that draws people to them. They of course have a good posture, whether sitting, standing or walking, and that makes them appear more secure and confident. This is another characteristic that people admire in them, which makes them likeable.

4). They Build Confidence in Others
When people spend time around a charismatic person, they feel better about themselves, or they at least come away feeling inspired or motivated in some sort of way. This makes charismatic people likeable and makes many people want to be around them. The fact is charismatic people tend to build confidence in others by giving credits and complements where they are due to make others feel important, and also by constructively critiquing those whose actions need to be reformed. When dealing with others, charismatic people mainly focus on the importance of this saying, “It’s not what you say, but how you say it?”

5). Remember Names
Charismatic people go to far lengths to either know the name or find a system of remembering the name of others around them. Like Dale Carnegie said, ‘a person’s name is to him or her the sweetest and most important sound in any language’, and charismatic people understand this fact very well. It’s why they are sure to put effort into finding a way to remember the names of those around them. In the event, they actually forget the name of a person they are very polite about how they go about asking for it again and will hardly forget it a second time.

Sport: Steven Gerrard Says Liverpool Can Challenge For Title With 'Two or Three' Signings

Steven Gerrard has told BT Sport that Liverpool only require "two or three" signings this summer in order to mount a serious Premier League title challenge next season.

Liverpool will secure a spot in the 2017-18 Champions League should they overcome a two-legged playoff in August following their fourth-placed finish in the league last season.

And former Liverpool captain Gerrard, who will take charge of the club's under-18 side next term, is confident Jurgen Klopp's team will challenge for silverware if they can make a few statements in the transfer market.

"I think we've got a fantastic manager at the helm, who will hopefully attract a few big names to complete the jigsaw," he said. "I think Liverpool are very, very close and if you look at the statistics of the top six from last season, they were the best team in terms of head-to-head.

"So Liverpool know where they need to improve and it's consistency against the teams in the bottom half of the table -- the teams that sit narrow, compact and are difficult to break down.

"Hopefully we can get the two or three big pieces of the jigsaw that are missing and I'm really confident that Liverpool can keep moving forward and there will be success just around the corner."

Liverpool's struggles under Klopp have come against opponents who tend to sit deep and restrict their attacking style.

Gerrard says Liverpool need to recruit another forward to help the team overcome that problem, along with a new left-back to provide competition for James Milner.

Liverpool remain interested in Roma winger Mohamed Salah, while the club continue to pursue other left-back targets after moving on from Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon.

"I think we need someone in the left-back position. James has done a fantastic job out there, but it would be nice to have another option out there as well," Gerrard added.

"And maybe one more attacking player to give some more firepower and help unlock the defences that are really narrow and compact. I don't think we need major reconstruction, I think it's just a couple of pieces of the jigsaw left and I'm really happy with where we are at the moment."

See Some Things Most Women Do That May Lead To Marriage Destruction

Some men are difficult, but women as home builders must understand that marriage is a decent and sacred institution that must be treated with utmost respect and guided with all sense of decency.

Below are things some married women do that could destroy their marriage:

1). Poor communication
In every relationship we find ourselves, communication is vital. No one is a mind reader and no matter what it may be that could be a reason for your unhappiness, speak out immediately in a stern manner and not lackadaisically.

Some wives are found of calling relatives to complain about certain issues meanwhile the hubby at home does not have an idea of how hurting they are concerning that issue.

2). Sharing their marital issue with a male admirer/friend.
Not every guy you know is responsible. We have some low lives that has no regard for any form of decency and it is no news that many guys are in this category.

When you discuss your marital issues with an admirer or a male friend, what these guys hear is "I'm vulnerable, I need you as a succor". This is why most times, when a married woman take solace in a male friend, the end result is usually an illicit affair. The male friend takes an advantage.

3). Being careless with male friends.
I think there should not be anything like just friends between a married woman and another man. If he is not your childhood friend, co-worker, business partner then you have no business with him.

Many married ladies have a careless habit of keeping male friends indiscriminately and worst still get so careless allowing these guys call them by their maiden names.

I will never call a married lady by her maiden name because just as the name suggests, its her unmarried name but will rather put Mrs, sis, madam.

When a married lady is called by her maiden name, it diminishes as well as tarnishes her respect, image and matrimony giving room for a potential unethical relationship between her and the "just male friends".

4). Seeking vengeance.
Many married lady tend to take some actions in order to prove to their hubby that a sauce for the goose is also ok for the gander but unfortunately this will destroy your marriage more.

When you take a revenge on your hubby, of what use will that be to you?

5). Talking down on your hubby.
This is one mistake many ladies do. You and your hubby are one and talking down on him means talking down on yourself. It is one thing to voice out what he did and another to use outright abusive words on him.

In situations where a couple separates, some ladies will not mind talking down on their hubby with a friend, their family and even with male admirers and i keep wondering if the woman thinks this will earn her any form of respect.

If you call your hubby a sick man then what does that make you? Or you call your hubby an asshole then it takes an asshole to tango with such a man.

No matter how angry you may be, don't ever rule out reconciliation and even if you are never going to reconcile ,respect your matrimony with him.

6). Believing there is always a better man out there.
This is one believe this is so wrong. Ladies believe they will get a better replacement. There are more than enough never married ladies out there for the unmarried guys, so why is a sane single guy leaving all the good single ladies to come after you? He is running from something.

Many women divorcees realize this too late as they end up as a toy in the hands of randy men, as second wife, or end up single for a long time as many men will believe they are doing them a big favour by just sleeping with them and give them money.

7). Sharing their marital issues with single female friends.
Like seriously! it may surprise you to know that most of your friends who are still single are not happy that you are married so take your marital problem to them at your own risk.

8). Not looking decent.
Laziness is a problem. Men get carried away by what they see so do yourself a favour, get that big tummy down and get into decent outfits that would make your man desire you more.

9). Never sorry
Some wives are egocentric to the extent that when they do or say things that are wrong, they will never or hardly apologize but rather would want to buttress the rationale behind their actions and most men see this as an appalling nature. Don't find it difficult to apologize to your husband.

10). Not ready to try enough in the kitchen and the bedroom
If you are a married lady reading this, please don't joke with your kitchen and the other room. Take care of your husband well in these two places and he's all yours. Make your marriage the best by making necessary adjustment and see things get better naturally.
