Story of Lady Who Met Her Hubby In NYSC Camp (Photos)

This couple who met while in NYSC camp few years back, are married and blessed with beautiful kids and they are doing well.

The excited wife took to her page to share their story. She wrote:

"I MET MY HUSBAND 3rd day in the CAMP.
It all started in the #nysc camp (2009/2010 Batch A) Bauchi State.
As usual as you come in 1st, 2nd and even 3rd day are for registrations, getting your kits, being threatened by the soldiers calling you OTONDO, if you're walking you're wrong. Double up double up! then end up being friends, meeting old and new friends, morning drilling and all.
Who remember that song:
Them go born mumu them go born mumu if corper marry corper them go born mumu And really don't like to serve in the north cos all life as being in the north so I love to be posted to either Lagos or Port Harcourt.
So the 3rd day was the swearing in and what I did was just to ask for a PEN from this guy to sign my oath of service form and that was all.
He as being my best friend, brother, father, mentor, partner in crime and to crown it up my one and only sweetheart. I love you so dearly if am opportune to come back to this planet earth I will choose you again and again.
What else can I ask for when He as given me the bunch of key to the doors of life, you're a gift from ABOVE.

Having you is like having the whole world. I bless the day I met you
Happy 5th anniversary to us darling. #camp#corper #nigeriancorpers #nysc"

US President, Donald Trump To Visit Texas To Survey Response To Storm Harvey

U.S. President Donald Trump planned to visit Texas today to survey the response to devastating Tropical Storm Harvey, the first major natural disaster of his White House tenure.

The slow-moving storm has brought catastrophic flooding to Texas, killed at least nine people, led to mass evacuations and paralyzed Houston, the fourth most-populous U.S. city.

It had also roiled energy markets and wrought damage estimated to be in the billions of dollars, with rebuilding likely to last beyond Trump's current four-year term in office.

"My administration is coordinating closely with state and local authorities in Texas and Louisiana to save lives, and we thank our first responders and all of those involved in their efforts," Trump told reporters at the White House yesterday.

This man is so on the money! Lol... Dayuum! When dude is not jazzed, love kwa? Love pepper! They should sha give him visa o, dude can't go through all that stress for nothing like someone already said and still dig that finished hole for nothing and not arrive in UK. Give him visa, then pali, LOL. But wait, her ex husband is a thinker! LOL. The gist...

The ex-husband of a grandmother who married a 27-year-old Nigerian man believes her new husband ‘just wants to get into the country’.

Angela Nwachukwu has spoken of her heartbreak after husband CJ, who is 45 years her junior, was denied a visa to join her in the UK.

The couple met when CJ added Angela, 72, on Facebook, and got married just two months later.

But Donald Neate, 71, who was in a relationship with Angela for five years, believes his ex-wife is being ‘scammed’ by her husband, describing her as ‘gullible’.

The former lorry driver told Mail Online: ‘We separated 18 years ago and haven’t had any contact since.

‘The first time I knew about it was when I read the papers. She has been scammed by a man who just wants to get into the country.’

‘She has done it now and will have to deal with the consequences.’

Despite the pair’s age gap, Angela insists they are very much in love and hoped CJ could join her at her home in Dorset.

She has spent £20,000 visiting him in Nigeria, but authorities will not allow him into the UK.

They believe he would not leave the country if he was granted a tourist visa.

Nigerian Mum Found Her Missing Son through Facebook After 3 Years (Photos)

Never give up. Through Facebook, a mother and her son who was abducted about three years ago have reunited.

Suleiman Abba Umar was abducted on January 6, 2014, in Kado, Abuja, after the close of school. His family searched for him - in Nasarawa, Kano, Abuja and Kaduna states - to no avail.
Sharing his experience, Umar said after his abduction by unidentified persons, “I regained consciousness only to find myself on a pile of corpses by a beach, some with missing heads or limbs. I was terrified”.

According to Daily Trust, the teenager said he had to work menial jobs, like bricklaying, to survive.

He later started visiting a football viewing centre where he met one Muhammed who took him in.

According to him, one of the boys he met at Mohammed’s place advised him to search for his parents on Facebook.

He said he found his mother’s Facebook page but there was no response to his friend request which led him to try adding their mutual friends — and one of his cousins accepted.

Suleiman, now 15, said when he told his cousin who he was, he thought he was a fraudster but later reluctantly sent him his mom’s number.

His words: “I regained consciousness only to find myself on a pile of corpses by a beach, some with missing heads or limbs. I was terrified.

“I visited food vendors, pushed disabled people on wheelchairs for a commission of their takings for the day, sometimes as low as N100 daily.

“I met one Muhammed, and we became friends, so I soon moved to their shanty. I was always quiet, so almost everyone around me thought I had a speech impairment.

“I told them my parents’ names, and they came up with all kinds of ideas, and someone suggested I search for my family on Facebook.

“There was no response for a while, so we also tried using mutual friends. One of my cousins accepted, and we got chatting, and when I told him who I was, he laughed and thought I was an internet fraudster out to exploit the family’s pain.

“My cousin reluctantly sent me my mum’s number, and that’s when I placed the call that night, and we spoke.”

Binta, his mother, said she was asleep when his call came in.

“To my shock, I heard Suleiman stammering at the other end. As I heard his voice, I knew it was him, and I began to cry, and he joined in,” she said.

Binta said although it was 1am in the morning, she could not wait to get to Lagos — having lived with the pain of losing him for three years.

“It was past 1:00am and I couldn’t wait to get to Lagos. I reached out to agents for flight tickets, to no avail, as virtually all the morning flights had been booked,” she said.

“In the morning, I rushed to the airport having finally got a flight for noon. As I was doing this, I reached out to Katsina Liaison Office in Lagos to help, as well.

"The Best Way To Fight Drug Abuse is Community Based Approach" - Senator Ashafa

The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Gbenga B. Ashafa has expressed concern over the increased rate of drug abuse among youngsters and advocated a community based approach as the best way to tackle the menace of drug abuse in our country.

Ashafa made this call at the Magodo ResidentS Association, Valley View Zone’s, sensitization march against drug abuse in their community. The event which took place on Saturday, 26th August 2017, at the secretariat of the zone had in attendance the residents and advocacy groups united in the fight against the scourge.

Other contributors at the event include the chairman of the Valley View Zone residents association Mr. Olatunji Solarin and the guest speaker Dr. Dokun Adedeji, the National coordinator of CADAM- Christ Against Drug Abuse Ministry, who also spoke extensively on the prevalence of drug abuse and ways to prevent it in the society.

In his words, the Senator Stated that “the scope of drug abuse has now transcended beyond popular narcotics and alcohol, youngsters have also found refuge in the abuse of over the counter and prescription pills/medications at an alarming rate.”

Speaking further, Ashafa stated that “This nagging concern inspired me to sponsor a motion on the floor of the senate on “Nigerians involvement in illicit Global Drug Trade and increase in Domestic Abuse by Nigerian Youths” and a “Bill for the amendment of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency Act”. These legislative interventions seek to ensure that we overcome the menace of drug abuse in Nigeria.”

He however expressed optimism in the community-based effort in tackling drug abuse when he stated, “I am even more optimistic in the fact that Charity begins at home. I therefore call on all parents, guardians and caregivers to educate our children on the ills of drug abuse. We must also pay closer attention to the habits being picked up by our children and wards not only as a family but also as a community. We must be ready to inform our neighbours of whatever strange mannerisms we notice in each-others children because community effort is a more effective means of preventing the spread and continuity of Drug Abuse.”

He concluded by stating that, “My advice therefore is to remind us that in Africa, “it takes a whole community to train a child”.
