Another One?, Police Hardly Hit Innocent Man, Leaving Him Unconscious (Photos)

The man lying on the roadside, a Doctor, was hit on the head with a hard object by a Policeman, and this is according to eyewitness report with pictures.

As shared by Clara Jancita...
'I'm so angry right now. This inhumane act was meted out to my family friends last weekend. I copied this text from his facebook wall. Abel Akanbi is the younger brother of the main victim....
The brother wrote: "I don't think there is any iota of dignity or sanity left in the system of these black uniformed people. We were returning to Ibadan from the RCCG Camp all night program, about 08:00am, we were stopped by some armed Nigeria police officers at the front of the DOMINION UNIVERSITY PERMANENT SITE near Ibadan.
Without any offense this anonymous police officer hit my elder brother (a medical doctor) with a device known to the officer on his face, he cooked his gun ready to shoot as if he just apprehended armed bandits.
I saw my elder brother slummed immediately and we were all over him trying to revive him. For quite sometime, I saw my elder brother lying almost lifeless on the expressway, without any offense committed by him.
I therefore demand from the police authority to fish out these hoodlums in police uniform with immediate effect. They were all wearing reflective jackets so, we couldn't get their Numbers, (Names of Officers seen were ANTHONY who led the team and one FOLORUNSHO) they came in a black unbranded Toyota hilux van and a white bus with registration number EPE-823-DR.
All of them ran away from the scene of the incident some went into the premises of the DOMINION UNIVERSITY and others went away in the vehicles when they discovered we were trying to make contact with higher authorities.
While our lawyer is putting the details together, I want to appeal to all well meaning Nigerians to help share and re-share this message until it gets to the Inspector General of police for action.
This must not be swept under carpet, it's someone's turn today, who knows who's next?

Where Nigeria is going now, only God can save us.. This is too bad.

Tech: Top Bureaucrats Received Customized Google Pixel Smartphones With Reliance Jio SIMs

Google Pixel

At least 80 High-end Google Pixel 'customised' phones with Jio SIMs have been given to top bureaucrats on a 'trial' basis to ensure secure communication among them, according to a source in the IT ministry.
The home ministry had drawn up a list of 100 officials from multiple ministries for the purpose, and 80 of these devices have been handed out so far, the source said.
The balance 20 units are in the pipeline, he added.
The project is at a 'pilot' stage and the sample distribution is for measuring the performance and security of the device.
The Google Pixel phones were found to be compliant with the specifications given by the home ministry, and the 'customisation' of the 4G phones was undertaken by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) and Electronics Corporation of India Ltd (ECIL).
A home ministry official said that while the handset and the telecom service provider are important elements of security, the critical aspect is the application on which the communication — both voice and data — is based.
"If that and the application server are secured, encrypted and appropriately certified, the security issues can be broadly addressed," the official said.

Man Died While Competing With Another Suitor For a Lady’s Hand In Marriage

A young man, Yari Inusa, has died while competing with another suitor for a lady’s hand in marriage. The incident happened at Durmin Biri village, in the Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Police sources said the man died following injuries he sustained on the head when he engaged in a Fulani traditional game of Sharo with another man, Ahmed Saidu, to determine who would marry the lady.

Sharo game entails two male suitors flogging each other for a woman’s hand in marriage. Whoever wins between them will marry the girl.

Inusa had reportedly flogged Saidu without any incident, but tragedy struck when it was the turn of Saidu to flog Inusa. Saidu allegedly hit Inusa on the head instead of hitting him on the back as the rules of the game dictates, leading to His Death.

The Katsina State Police Command spokesman DSP Gambo Isah confirmed the incident.

Photo of Pastor Enoch Adeboye as He Kisses and Showers Wife With Love

While speaking at the headquarters of the church in Ebutte Meta, Lagos, Adeboye told the men in the congregation to be prepared to lay down their lives for their wives.

“Be ready to lay down your life for your partner if you’re truly in love. My wife doesn’t like me saying this: You can slap me; you can lie against me, you can criticise me, it doesn’t bother me, but touch my wife, I’ll kill you!” he said.

“I want the world to hear. They’ll say if I kill, they would arrest me, that they would jail me, but that is if I kill with cutlass or gun… if you touch with my wife, I will talk to my Daddy and you’ll sleep and will not wake.”

He recalled how Folu, his wife, stood by him in his trying times, saying she had the opportunity to get married to those who were more financially stable but she chose him.

“Marry for love. It’ll endure. I’ve been married for 50 years and still on honey moon. I was the poorest among those lurking around the girl I married,” he said.

“I had nothing but I told the girl that of you marry me, wherever I am, whateverI ever become will be yours.

“I was not a Christian, but I was an incurable optimist. We struggled over ponmo as people usually hear me say, but today if we want to eat a cow now, God will provide.

“After our wedding on September 8, 1967, we faced challenges. The baby came 1968. It was tough. We were happy because we were in love.

“I had no car, no house, I married into a rented room and a parlour. We have stories to tell. If you marry for love, it will last because God is love.”
