CONGRATULATIONS! Oba of Benin Welcomes a Baby Boy With Second Wife, Princess Iyayota (Photos)

The Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba Ewuare II, on Monday announced the arrival of a newborn baby into the royal house.

Omo N’Oba Ewuare II, who was installed on October 20, 2016, welomed a baby boy with his second wife Princess Iyayota (Obazuwa .

Oba Ewuare who disclosed this at a press briefing at his palace through the Iyase of Benin, thanked God and the ancestors for the baby, noting that mother and child are alive, hale and healthy.

In his words, he said;

“By the grace of the Almighty God and the benevolence of our ancestors, the Benin Traditional Council on behalf of His Royal Majesty, Omo N’ Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, Oba of Benin and the Royal Palace of Benin Kingdom, joyfully wish to announce that her Royal Highness, Queen Iyayota of Benin kindgom has been delivered of a bouncing baby boy,

The infant Prince and his mother are in excellent health and good spirits.

It is our prayers that the Prince will grow in good health, excellence and grace and that he shall be blessed immeasurably by the Almighty God and, the great Royal Ancestors with the wisdom, kindness and generosity, knowledge and courage of his illustrious father, HIS ROYAL MAJESTY OMO N’OBA N’EDO UKU AKPOLOKPOLO OBA EWUARE II.

We congratulate our amiable Queen Her Royal Highness, Queen IYAYOTA for a safe delivery and pray that this happy occasion shall birth more blessings for her, for the Palace and for the entire Benin kingdom. A date for the naming ceremony will be announced later”.

Fast rising Nigerian female Comedian, Dahunsi Racheal Awodele well know by her stage name, Sisi Lanlate says putting smiles on people's face and making people happy is her Call.

Dahunsi Racheal who hails from Lanlate, Ibarapa North East area of Oyo State, who is known for her Ibarapa dialect while making her comedies said this in a recent interview with Teelamford.

In her words, she said;

"I was born and raised in Lanlate, Ibarapa North East area of Oyo State, I had my Primary and Secondary school education in Lanlate, after spending some years in Lagos I came back to Lanlate for my Higher education where I developed my comedy career out of the love I had for my dearest home town Lanlate."

While talking further, she also revealed some certain things about herself and her community while building her career.

"Though my people from Lanlate both home and outside home sold me in the first place, but still I can never trade the love of my community for anything, that is why I gave myself the name "Sisi Lanlate." She said.

Dahunsi Racheal while asked what she have for both her people from Lanlate and all her fans home and abroad, she responded saying;

Femi Adesina, Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity thrashed reports that the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari ( retd.) planned to make a broadcast on COVID -19 updates today.

On Monday, May 18, Femi Adesina stated in a tweet on micro-blogging platform, Twitter Buhari will not make any broadcast on COVID -19 updates today.

In the tweet, he explained that the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 led by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, would update the nation during its debriefings.

“No presidential broadcast on COVID-19 updates today.

“None was planned. Rather, the Presidential Task Force will during its usual media briefings bring the nation up to speed on the next steps,” he tweeted.
